New Year, New Hope

Another year has come to an end and as custom, I reflect on what 2017 has done for me; as a person, as a follower of Christ and as a man of business.

I moved to Nashville at the beginning of February of 2017 and began working for wireless phone company to pay bills and keep up on rent. My landlords were possibly the nicest people I have ever met. I immediately got to work, working in an unfamiliar career that I had never thought of pursuing. Throughout my time at Sprint Wireless, I made new friends, I became well-respected in my trade and met a lot of people who have worked and continue to work within the Music Industry: people who work for Ryman Hospitalities (Grand Ole Opry), people who work for their own recording company and some who write music and play music on the regular.

I left my job at Sprint and moved on to work with TruGreen Lawn Pros. Consuming all of my time, I never kept on top of my magazine as I would have liked. Unfortunately, I was in an accident that forced me to move back to my hometown in Florida. I've kept in contact with my friends I've met and worked with. Though I haven't wrote much in the past couple of months, I have continued to further my skill working with a local newspaper as a columnist/reporter. Since I began three months ago, I've learned more about what I do as a journalist and how to continue to improve my skill.

2018 has come upon me and like many others have resolutions, I have a resolution of my own. I am committed to continue to stand out within the music industry, bringing light to darkness in some way. I have set up a couple of interviews with some musicians who have released music and are on tour. I hope you enjoy what 2018 has to offer you. I know I will enjoy what this year has for me.

In the meantime, stay true people.

- John
