People come to Nashville, Tennessee for one thing and one thing only: to play music or make music. You're either the musician behind the microphone with an acoustic guitar or the brains behind the soundboard in the studio. Mr. Rob Arthur can say that he does both plus some.
I met Rob and his significant other two weeks ago when I first came to Nashville and I learned that Rob has done it all. He has toured the world for years playing keys and strumming the guitar for the great Peter Frampton. Being the co-owner of a label, HWY 7 Records, he has some experience behind a soundboard as a producer while supporting his talented recording artist, Jeremiah Richey.

Not only is Rob a touring musician, he is a solo artist of his own. I was lucky enough to get my hands on his latest record, "New Way Home." I popped the CD as soon as I had the chance and was automatically hooked on the sound. Each song, with a unique sound of it's own, told a story of life, love and happiness. One of those songs, being "In Rock & Roll." The well-orchestrated, swinging beat of the drums and clean guitar riffs sets the mood. Rob set the bar with tracks like "Cryin' Shame" and the dirty bass chops and "Shambala." Both featuring the legend Peter Frampton on the lead guitar. Catchy tunes like these make me want to pick up my guitar and write all night long and I believe that was the point of some tracks -- To inspire.
"Set aside the anger, rise above and find a New Way Home."
