She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.

Proverbs 31:25

Throughout the history of the United States of America, the American people and those among have battled with certain persons and politicians to gain back deserved human rights and empowerment. Women's rights has been a popular movement along with civil and religious rights.

In 1920, women gained the right to vote. In 2001, Women gained the right to choose any military occupation available and in 2015, the limit to combat jobs for women was lifted. The battle that women have faced recently is being able to be who they want to be. Ariel Petrie released the music video for her single "Queen" and it speaks high volumes.

The video consists of Ariel, her talented, supporting band members and five brave, strong women. Among the well-rounded music and inspiring lyrics, the five women smiled on as they displayed words that best characterized them.

Words such as Fierce, Advocate and Daring are words that describe a fearless leader ready for battle. Words that describe a Queen. At the end of the video, those five women, including Ariel, hold up their hands with the word "Queen" written on the palm with a determined, joyful smile on their faces. The lyrical structure of Queen was extremely strong and supported. As an advocate for women around the world Ariel voiced what she wasn't going to be and what she will be and gave us reasons why.

The music video was very simple, yet well-thought out and easy to understand. Applauding Rift Media, the quality of the audio and video was clear and the performance by Ariel and her supporting band members was on-point.

The word Princess is defined as the female ruler of a small state as the word Queen is defined as the female ruler of an independent state. The difference between the two titles is clearly understood and the message of the music given by Ariel Petrie is very well perceived.

To be a Queen is to be independent and to make decisions for oneself without the need of help or opinions from others. No matter who you are as a woman, you can be a Queen if you choose to be. Take that crown, wear it proudly and fight for yourself, your voice and your dreams.
